UV Disinfection of Wastewater & Reuse Water
UV disinfection is popular around the globe for wastewater treatment and water reuse treatment largely due to the fact that, unlike chlorine, it doesn't increase effluent toxicity. Pressure from Governments and environmentalists to eliminate unwanted chemicals from the ecosystem, whilst providing pathogen free water, is also driving interest in UV disinfection for wastewater treatment. This interest is leading to many wastewater and water reuse plants being converted from chlorine to UV disinfection. Water re-use is also becoming important, with purified wastewater disinfected by UV disinfection systems increasingly being used for irrigation. Berson is the leader in wastewater UV and reuse water treatment.
Berson UV Disinfection systems are used around the globe in drinking water, wastewater and water reuse treatment plants. Berson's UV systems are validated to the most stringent third party approvals, including DVGW, USEPA, NWRI and NSF.
- High power. High virus inactivation
- Validated even at very low UVT
UltraAqua's UV disinfection systems for open channels and reservoirs is ideal for municipal wastewater treatment facilities and aquaculture. The system is modular and can be expanded to treat any flow. It is available in stainless steel or polypropylene for corrosive environments. UltraAqua's chamber systems are also ideal for disinfection of low UVT water- which typically occurs in wastewater applications.
